Topham Park always enforces our Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy in accordance with Softball Ontario's Respect My Game program.
-
All parents/guardians must read and accept the terms of the policy in order to complete their player's registration.
-
If you are aware of any incidents that you feel the league should investigate, these should be reported to the league President at info@tophampark.com. We follow up on all incidents reported.
Rowan's Law
Introduced in July 2019, Rowan's Law makes it mandatory for sport organizations to:
-
Ensure players, parents, coaches and officials confirm every year that they have reviewed Ontario's Concussion Awareness Resources (opens in a new window).
-
Establish a Concussion Code of Conduct.
-
Establish a Removal-from-Sport and Return-to-Sport protocol.
Before registering, please ensure you have reviewed the Ontario's Concussion Awareness Resources with your player.
Uniforms
Topham Park does not supply batting helmets. Players must purchase and wear a CSA approved softball batting helmet with face guard and chin strap. Helmets may not be shared during games. Click here for some more details on helmets
-
Topham Park will provide each player with a jersey and cap. The U11 and higher divisions will also receive softball pants.
Select
-
Topham Park Minor Softball League has a select program, designed for post house league season tournament play throughout the summer.
-
Additional fees/expenses are required for participation.
-
If your player is interested in participating in Select this year, or you want to find out more, read about our Select program on the website and indicate your interest on the registration form.
-
You will be contacted by email by the select convenor regarding try-outs and other details.
Volunteer
-
Topham Park is an entirely volunteer run organization that thrives from the support by players, parents, guardians and community members. We ask that at least one family member volunteers so that our season will run smoothly.
-
Committments can be one time, on a weekly basis throughout the season, or join our executive to get more involved and have a say in how the league is run.
-
You can find descriptions for our volunteer positions and executive positions on our website. Please indicate your volunteering interests on the registration form.
After completing registration, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive one, check your junk mail and/or contact the league Registrar (registrar@tophampark.com) to ensure that your player was registered successfully.
